DUNDALK FIRE DEPARTMENT RECEIVES “PROJECT ASSIST” DONATION TO PURCHASE RESOURCES - Each year 20 fire departments across Ontario receive $5,000 from the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council to supplement the purchase of important resources for volunteer & composite firefighter training. This year, the Dundalk Fire Department was grateful to be among the 20 departments chosen for the “Project Assist” program, which is supported by Enbridge Gas Distribution. Project Assist launched in 2012, and to date Enbridge has contributed $700,000 in funding to help Ontario fire departments purchase training materials to enhance life-saving techniques.
